I can’t believe it! I’m really going to WPPI in Las Vegas! I went to the roadshow in DC which gave me free registration to the full show in Las Vegas Nevada. WPPI is Wedding & Portrait Photographers International. It’s huge! Like a photographer’s yearly mecca. Can you believe I was considering NOT going? But then my friend Rebekah asked me if I was going, and it changed everything! (Thanks Rebekah!!) We looked into hotels, classes etc and we are going!! Ah! I have heard the awesome-est things about this show – how you learn SOO much, how you meet SO many photographers, how it inspires and catapults what you do with your photography. Obviously, I can’t wait. I’ve already signed up for seminars with Jasmine Star, Julieanne Kost, Roberto Valenzuela, Bobbi and Mike, and Jerry Ghionis. And there’s a bunch of others, but those are the ones that I’m actually signed up for. This will be my first time at WPPI and I expect to be overwhelmed, excited, and fired up. Probably mostly overwhelmed. (I’m so glad I’ll have a friend there with me!!) I leave in less than a month. Do you hear me? Less than a month! Oh man. This is pretty much out of my comfort zone. But I’m committed to growing and getting better, so running away from my comfort zone straight into uncertainty/challenge is a must! Right?
Anyways, I’m in the middle of looking up flights, and I have to admit I’m not excited about the pricing options. Blah. But I’m getting a GREAT deal on the hotel (MGM Grand BABY!!) and I got registered with WPPI for free, so I guess I’m not complaining. I can’t wait for this AWESOME adventure!!!
