Meredith and Grayson | Key West Wedding

I remember meeting meeting her my sophomore year of college, and I remember that we were all saying how SWEET she was! It was my cousin Courtney’s wedding, and Gray had brought his beautiful date Meredith along with him. I remember liking her instantly; she smiles easily and just has a demeanor that makes you want to be friends with her. I couldn’t have known that 4 years later, I’d be shooting their wedding in KEY WEST! Sometimes, things just have a funny way of working out.:-)

The chef likes to take credit for Gray and Meredith. You see, my cousin Gray was a golf pro at the country club (where I work now!) and Meredith, well, she was the new hospitality intern upstairs. Chef maintains that he’s the one who encouraged Gray to talk to her, and the rest? Well, it was just meant to be! Credit Chef’s encouragement, Meredith’s sweet smile, or something greater at work, but these two have made it through the ups and downs of a long distance relationship, of moving states, and learning what it means to lean on each other! I loved getting to watch these two interact, and I loved seeing my cousin so happy as his bride walked down the aisle towards him. Man, weddings do the heart good, don’t they?!

This wedding was super special to me. I was surrounded by my family on a beautiful day after a wonderful week with them, and I watched two people pledge forever. Oh, and I got to take pictures! It couldn’t have been any more perfect:-)Gray and Meredith, I love you guys so much! I LOVED being a part of your day. It was truly an honor and I will treasure the memories forever! I hope you know how much I loved that our families got to be together on vacation, and then witness your love.  I wish the week could’ve lasted longer! I can’t wait to see how the future unfolds for you guys and I’m so thankful that I get to be part of your family!

We started the day at the Hyatt…amaaazing…

I LOOVEEDD Meredith’s dress!! It was so beautiful!

Loved her pink sandals and her flower hairpiece!

Some bling…

Meredith’s ring is a black diamond! How cool is that?!?!

Meredith’s hair and makeup were done by Marie-Pierre Studio and they had her looking completely radiant…

It’s always fun to watch the dress go on:-)

My dad is the best. I didn’t have an official second shooter, and Meredith and Gray got ready on different sides of the island. So my dad brought out his photog skills to get some shots of Gray getting ready! Oh yeah, and it was my dad’s birthday too. Thanks so much Daddy!

We had a few minutes for some bridals.. Meredith you are GORGEOUS!!!!

Meredith’s found her awesome veil on Etsy – it was HANDMADE and imported from GREECE!!! It was amazing!

Look at my handsome cousin!!!! Getting ready for the first look:-)

Yesss…

I love this one so much!

Boom!! All-time favorite:-)You guys are precious!

This is probably my runner up favorite. Look at those model faces!! You guys look goooood…

Back story – it was amazingly hot…like SUPER hot…but they rocked it anyways! Thanks for being such good troopers guys!

So sweet..

Men:-)

Pretty girls!!

As a last minute change the ceremony was held on the verandah, instead of on the dock. We were all thankful for the overhead fans..

What a beautiful bride!!

Meet the pastor! He was a groomsman too, and his wife was a bridesmaid! My dad and they made fast friends, and I loved hearing about all they are doing! And the best part is their last name is Pastor:-)

That ring looks good on ya buddy:-)

Married!!!!

The reception was held on the roof of the Rum Barrel, and we enjoyed the breezes coming from the water:-)

Meredith is an event planner, and she did a great job setting up the reception site! Loved the calla lilies!

Yum! Love it when a couple has cake AND cupcakes:-)

Because it was a destination wedding, the guest count was fewer allowing for a comfortable atmosphere on the rooftop. I loved it!

First dance:-)

Tropical entertainment provided by John Friday..

During a free moment I sneaked away to capture the sunset down the street. It was beautiful! and a great way to end my last night in Key West:-)

Back on top of the Rum Barrel..not a bad view, right? Pretty sky:-)

Oh yeah, and Mr. Pastor can sing!

The cake cutting was fun…

And then we spent the rest of the night with some chatting, some dancing, and a lot of enjoying the company of our closest family! And this is my favorite picture (Thanks Dad!) I love you guys!!

Woody FitzHugh - Currie,
These pics are amazing. My personal opinion is that they are the best ever. Perhaps it is because I was there and you captured it so beautifully or perhaps I am just right and it is your best work yet. My favorite is the first look pic. You are the best!!!!

Tina, Tabibi Design - Currie, these photos are stunning! Love all of the beautiful details including the bride’s gorgeous gown. I’ve been to the Keys a few times. It’s such a great location.
