I first met Kristy in…kindergarten? First grade? Something like that I think, and in those days I just remember how much everyone liked her. I don’t know if she’d admit it, but all the girls wanted to be her friend, and all the boys liked her too. (Yes, she was cool.) Fourth grade was really the first time we became good friends, and by 7th grade, I would have called her one of my very best friends. After 8th grade, we kind of went our separate ways due to being at different schools, but this girl has been a huge part of my life. We’ve been in touch a few times over the years, and I have to say that I’m so proud of the wonderful woman she has grown into. She loves the Lord and everyone can see it in her; she is joyful and smart and has such a compassionate, loving heart.
When I ran into her mom last year, she asked what I was doing these days. I told her about my photography business and she gently hinted there might be a wedding coming up her the family. Naturally, I got on Facebook to see the latest news and I saw Kristy and her soon-to-be fiance. (Yup, totally tried to Facebook stalk you Kyle!) I can’t tell you how excited, honored and THRILLED I am to be involved during this amazing time of Kristy and Kyle’s life. They are an amazing match, both grounded in the love of Christ and motivated by it to follow the Lord in their lives. They are so perfect together and I can’t wait for them to say “I do” in May!! It’s going to be a celebration of their lives and their obedience to the Lord and the LOVE He has given them. It’s going to be so beautiful!
