She sat comfortably in a beautiful pink robe while her hair stylist twisted and curled her hair into an elegant updo for the long awaited day. At the sound of an unexpected knock, the door of the bridal suite opened to reveal Joey’s five groomsmen. As they filed into the room, they each found the bridesmaid that they’d be escorting and handed them a single rose with a card from the groom. It was just like Joey to be so thoughtful; they’d decided together to not get gifts, and yet here was one before her. Heidi opened her own gift and card from her soon to be husband as a light rain fell outside and tears of her own began to fall. She was reminded again of just how sweet her best friend was and that this day was the beginning of their life together.
Heidi and Joey, I cannot express to you how honored I was to share your day with you. Thank you for having faith in me to document your day and for being such an awesome couple. Your day was perfect; though no one could have predicted snow on your October wedding day, I think everyone would agree that it was beautiful; your love for each other was a joy to witness and it was obvious how much happiness this day brought to your friends and family.
Heidi’s dress was from Ellie’s Bridal Boutique in Alexandria, and it was absolutely stunning.
These amazing gold sparkly shoes are Christian Louboutin and they were incredibly perfect!
I gotta give credit to my second shooter Rebekah for “posing” the rings on the shoes like this; I looooved it!
Reading her card from Joey…
Heidi’s gorgeous ‘do was done by Claudine Fay, and her makeup was done by Tiobhan Landrum. Heidi was seriously dazzling!
Imagine my excitement when we took this before we even began our portrait session! Heidi, maybe you should consider a career in wedding dress modeling.
We had planned to do a first look at the Capitol, but had to adjust due to the snow. Yes, it snowed. So instead, we went to the Postal Museum, and I think it actually was a perfect complement to Heidi’s style. That building was classic and elegant, just like Heidi’s day.
Lookin’ good Heidi!
How cute are they?!
Joey, you’ve got that model face DOWN!
Welcome to St. Aloysius!
This beautiful cake was made by Cake Express and they did such a great job! Isn’t it gorgeous?
The first dance was pretty sweet.
Time for the daddy/daughter dance!
Joey and his mom…
Tyler, from Fine Tuned Entertainment did a great job keeping everyone on the dance floor and having a great time!
This is what’s called the Money Dance. It’s a Philippine tradition where guests pin money to the best man and maid of honor in order to dance with the bride and groom. It was really fun to watch!
I’ll end with this one; congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs.! Enjoy your Mediterranean Cruise!
