Erica is one of the sweetest brides I’ve ever met! She smiles easily and is filled with so much joy! But don’t let that sweetness fool you; she’s not afraid to go after what she wants! And in college, she wanted Travis. He was a “good ol’ country boy”, and she was sweet and confident. After meeting through a science class at CNU, and after flirting and lunching together, she suggested that they hang out over the summer. A few weeks later, she asked for his number and naturally, he complied. They started going on dates and in June of 2008, she asked him to be her boyfriend. Almost 4 years have gone by, and Erica and Travis are still best friends, except now they are MARRIED!! I couldn’t be happier for these two – they are both so sweet and I was so honored to be a part of their beautiful day!
I loved Erica’s beautiful Mikaella dress!!

I”m trying to get better at my ring shots and I really feel like these are an improvement! Her ring is gorgeous!

Jimmy was with the guys getting ready and took the following shots..

I always think it’s really hard to take shots of small things without a macro lens, but he did awesome!
Nice camo tie Travis!
It rained pretty much ALL day, but I was thankful that I had a few minutes with Erica before the ceremony…SUCH a beautiful bride!

Sassy AND cute – love her!!

Travis looking good before the ceremony

Ceremony!!

Because of their meeting in a science class and their science majors, it made perfect sense to have a science themed wedding! The Science Museum of Virginia in Richmond made the most wonderful venue! It was so unique and very cool!

Erica’s cake and cupcakes were done by Persnickety Cakes and smelled especially delicious..

My shot on the left, Jimmy’s on the right..

Loved this!

Erica’s parents made all the cards, signs and invites!! So well done!

Another one of Jimmy’s..

We were able to take just a few minutes outside for some portraits to the newlyweds! It was raining pretty steadily, but thankfully the Science Museum had a covering going all around the building.

One of my favorites…

Hehe you guys are cute![]()

Erica and Travis shared a really sweet first dance..

Such a cute cake-topper..

I tried something a little different for the cake!

I loved the way Jimmy captured this series. The planner said in 3 years, she hadn’t seen anyone shove the cake as hard as Travis had!
Jimmy’s shot on the left, mine on the right..

Dancing!! Dancing is fun! Especially when Jim Hock provides the entertainment..

The next 5 shots are Jimmy’s; I just loved the way the shot the reception!

Loved this one of Erica’s parents.

It stopped raining at the end of the night, so I headed out with Erica and Travis so they could have a few shots in front of the sphere! Loved how they turned out!

A few more of the reception…

Congratulations Erica and Travis! I seriously loved being part of your day!

Many thanks to all the wonderful people who made Erica and Travis’ day so wonderful!
