Wow. I haven’t blogged in almost 2 weeks? Um..where did that lapse in judgment come from? Well, for some reason I seem to have been super busy since that Memorial Day, but I’m back! And after that crazy week and a half, my family and I got to have a very special day today. We celebrated my dad’s birthday by going out on his boat in the Potomac. The sun hid behind clouds most of the morning which was just fine by us. We took in the warmth, the gentle rocking of wakes, the sound of rippling water and the awesome feeling of peace. Quiet. Togetherness. A time to turn off distractions, phones, and laptops. We swam, ate, laughed, reminisced and finally got to be a family again. It was exactly the time I needed. Unfortunately, I was told I wasn’t allowed to post ANY pictures of any of them, so pictures of the water will have to suffice. I know.. super interesting.
And P.S. Awesome things are coming up that I CAN’T wait to share with you! Hope you’re looking forward to it cuz I know I am!
In the picture below we were going real fast, which is why the boat looks so high out of the water. You can’t tell, but it was a little bumpy and super windy coming back in because of the speed, and getting the camera to be still was pretty much impossible. Thank goodness for fast shutter speeds!
